Florence House Qigong Retreat: Between Heaven and Earth

Join me for a qigong retreat on the edge of the South Downs at the tranquil haven of Florence House, surrounded by lush landscapes and sea breezes.
The Retreat will involve a three-day day/three-night experience, using meditation and qigong practice to explore the themes of Heaven and Earth, the two fundamental, complementary cosmic forces that make up our observable universe. They are the supreme manifestation of yin and yang, arising directly from Tao (the Way). Heaven represents yang; masculine, light, movement, spirit, and the creative structuring impulse of the universe. Earth represents yin; femininity, darkness, stillness, matter, the receptive, nourishing and sustaining qualities of reality. Humans occupy the sacred space in-between;
"Humanity follows Earth. Earth follows Heaven. Heaven follows the Tao. And the Tao follows what is natural."

To live a good, healthy, enlightened life, humans must align their actions with the natural rhythms of the Earth and the cosmic laws of Heaven. We will be using seated meditation, self-massage, sound practice and movement to explore these themes. As well as focused teaching time, practice will be paired with plenty of rest and relaxation.
